Resending: Clutter and Your Mental Health

Hello Reader,

Have you ever walked into a cluttered room and immediately felt overwhelmed?

Clutter has an effect on our stress levels, focus, and mental health.

Excess clutter can lead to decision fatigue, procrastination and overall tiredness.

When our environment is chaotic, our brains have to work harder to filter out the distractions.

This can lead to:
*Increased anxiety and stress
*Difficulty concentrating and making decisions
*Feeling frustrated, chaotic and stuck

Emotional clutter is often unfinished business - holding onto items out of guilt, fear or to keep memories. If every time you see the items you think “I should deal with this but not today” then it is weighing heavy on your mind. And this can keep you stuck.

Physical and Emotional Clutter are closely linked.

A few simple steps:

Pick one small area to declutter (a drawer or nightstand)

Set a timer for 10 minutes and work on a specific area

Notice how your mind feels afterward

When we clear our space, we clear our mind

Have you ever felt a mental shift after decluttering? Just reply to this email.

Until next time,
